Our Story

Be Loved, Beloved.
(Romans 9:25)

Three simple words, yet they hold such power.

It's nearing sunset - gosh I love this time of year in Sydney -and I sit here typing (then quickly resort to the backspace key over and over) pondering how to chronologically lay out my life story and I can't because the truth is, if you are anything like me, I'm not sure it matters that this business started on the living room floor (Doesn't every business 'start small' after all?) or that I never really dreamt of being a jewellery designer as a child (I actually had my heart set on being a teacher or a luxurious pastry chef, thanks to my easy-bake oven) but instead and more 'worthy' of being shared, is something that our hearts crave ~ transparency colliding with truth.

About six months ago, as I read the results of a personality test, I could feel my soul smile as I skimmed over what a Campaigner might say:

"It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for – and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing"

I had heard it before but this time, it felt so different.

What do you long for?

What do you long for?

What do you long for?

Almost two years ago, I felt a little heart-tap (the kind that only gets bigger with time) and a soft voice whispered
'Launch her and let her fly'

So I sat and prayed and spent time with the most creative man I know (God - in the sea, in trains, in planes, in cafes and in the comfort of that same living room floor, candles lit and the voice of Lauren Daigle floating through the air) and dwelled in wonder and possibility.

The very thing I had longed for was already there, deep within my heart walls yet I was to fearful to let it out.

Sound familiar?

Romans 9:25 floated through my mind.

Our heartbeat:

1. Through tiny vessels (our jewellery) Kaitlin James will serve as a reminder that you, right where you are, are worthy and loved.

Gift them to someone you adore or hold near to yourself,

The details? To create a fully solid-gold line that was fused with earth-mined stones, allowing the wearers to have a future~heirloom, a piece that could be worn into forever and passed through generations, laden with stories and bursting with love.

So, I sat and prayed and spent time with the most creative man I know (God - in the sea, in trains, in planes, in cafes and in the comfort of my own home: candles lit, cue Lauren Daigle) and dwelled in wonder and possibility (for perhaps a little TOO long, but none the less)

Bright-eyed, big hearted and thankful, I’m excited to officially announce that all the sneak peaks, hinted conversations, trips overseas, and reduction in markets really DID have a purpose.
